The Flight within The Flight

Image
Here I am, in that oh so familiar place, the middle seat of the main cabin. The only thing that stands out from this economy flight is that I forgot my headphones in the car and my book is, of course, stowed away in the overhead bin. On a quest of trying to break the humdrum of my foolish mistakes (which included deleting the boundless memes on my camera roll), here I am, like a 90s journalist trying to write the next breaking story. Pretty sure all of the babies crying in this flight will not break the 24-hour news cycle, nor will the snores of my fellow passengers. Do not even get me started on those who can’t follow simple directions; I could write a whole column on them. As the plane started to take off, I couldn’t help but think of last week, where I was the one flying the plane. Hearing the engines whine and roar as we make our way down the runway, I feel my anticipation bubbling up. You know the feeling of climbing a roller coaster and slightly stopping at the top? Well, this w...

Solo Travel

What it do Baby!! (favourite intro I've ever heard, shoutout to the claw). I was asked by a friend to make this post since they had a lot of questions about making their first experience on exploring the world by themselves. These are some tips/guide based on my experience of sorts, lets see how this goes.... Not to state the obvious but I'm going to do it anyways. Pick a location & the amount of days the trip will be, along with a budget which I believe is the biggest key to the trip. The amount of funds that you have will enable you to get a more extravagant experience.  With that out of the way lets move on to the trip. Plan the trip especially if travelling outside of the your home area to another country. The attractions you're going visiting, transportation (cant stress this enough!!) the language, any type of local traditions & customs. Since we live in the 21st century I don't think a translation book is necessary if you're going to have internet acc...

Correction(s) for my last post

Hello, fellow reader [insert wave] 👋 If I'm being brutally honest my last post sucked. I missed the whole point of the blog by omitting the actual reason why I like to travel. Didn't want to feel vulnerable but that how you get the best content based on things I've observed & read. Got to let people know who you are in order to get noticed. People need to be able to relate to you in order to make a significant connection. So this is me opening up. Even though I didn't realise it until much older (me writing this post) the real sense for adventure actually occurred when I got on a plane for the first time. The trill of going to a an unknown place & packing everything into a suitcase, with that sense of wonder has been what I've been chasing ever since I've experienced it. (in retrospect) Like many people who are immigrants there's some adjusting to the new culture & surroundings. In order to emerge yourself into a new place you try to make frien...

The reason(s) why I like travelling

Greeting fellow reader,  Thanks for checking out the blog. Hopefully you look past the incoherent sentences & random ramble of thoughts. This topic is something that is near & dear to me; travelling, the exploring of new places, "the search of the great beyond." Since the start of civilisation mankind has been on this quest for the new thing. The conquering of foreign lands. I wouldn't call myself a conquistador or a coloniser but like the obsessed royalties of the 1400s over finding new trade routes and expanding their empires for untold riches, I've caught myself with the desire to visit the 197 countries in the known world. (This figure is what the United Nations states considers self-governed territories which include Taiwan, The Vatican, Kosovo & Palestine) Unlike the nobles of the old world I don't have a massive empire nor do I have the riches that they had access to for the funding of these excursions. What I do posses is some novice survival t...

Philadelphia Birthday Trip

Image
Since last years birthday plans had been cancelled due to the Rona pandemic, ill be damned if I didn't do something about it this year. This lead me to visit a nearby city. A historical city with deep fascination with cheesesteak sandwiches, decent sport teams & even more passionate fanatics. What else could I want to experience? Somethings not caught on film are the infamous bike crew doing wheelies on south street, bar hopping & me eating a jumbo slice of pizza that's used for philly tacos (which might be my next video). Thanks for checking out the video.

Florida 1

Image
Went on a quick weekend trip to the Sunshine State, original reason I went there was to visit the amusement parks. Well that didn't really happen. I did go to universal, one of the parks at least. The roller coasters were great but they didn't allow you to film on the rides (did I even go?). As far as Disney goes, tickets sell out ahead of time during the summer months (who knew). That's how I made it to the beach on the golf. The next time I go to the Orlando area I will go for a greater length of time & probably plan the trips (90% chance I wont plan, who plans for a vacation?). The rest of the Florida area will need to be visited as well; the wetlands, Miami. keys, more beaches of course. Florida is home to humid weather, lots of sunshine, great food & pristine scenery. I see why the older folks decide to retire there besides the tax benefits. Anyways enjoy!
